VISION Impression National Parks Collection

This collection is Swiftwick’s highest revenue collection to date and was recognized by Backpacker Magazine and Runner’s World as “Best Running/Trail Running Gear.” It’s currently sold in various REI and Fleet Feet stores around the country.

Swiftwick was in search of a new sock design collection. This was during the 2020 pandemic when National Parks were growing in popularity. Knowing Swiftwick’s love for local partners, I pitched the artwork of Nashville’s Anderson Design Group. Their National Park designs were perfect for this collection.

I edited these original illustrations to be seamless and high-contrast to fit the manufacturing and printing style of these socks. Once the designs were finalized, I shot studio images for each sock and worked with photographers around the country for lifestyle marketing imagery.

PURSUIT Hike Collection

PURSUIT Hike is Swiftwick’s original hiking sock. The need was for 2 complementary designs that were on trend with other apparel and gear in the outdoor industry. Hiking socks typically have plain designs and basic colors - this was our chance to stand out in the crowd.

After thorough industry research into hiking competitors, I developed a target color palette. From there, I created over 30 designs for the internal team, moving forward with 2 final layouts: an abstract mountain design and a simple stripe pattern with various colorways shown below.

VISION Winter

VISION Winter is Swiftwick’s limited edition, seasonal Merino wool line. The primary goal with these socks is to lean into the winter spirit without looking too holiday-specific. Of the Swiftwick apparel projects, these are definitely my favorites, because they allowed for full creative play and freedom. I drew inspiration from multiple places for this collection, including my own dog (Bacon), whose silhouette I incorporated into the “Howl-iday” design.
